Scouting America is open to every kid, age 5 to 18
The troops, packs, and crews behind every tree lot and recycling route on this site are Scouting America units. Membership is open to all youth ages 5–18, regardless of where they live or go to school.
Programs by age
Cub Scouts
Ages 5–10 (kindergarten through 5th grade). Weekly den meetings and family-friendly outings build the first steps in Scouting.
Scouts BSA
Ages 11–17. Troops for boys and troops for girls, led by youth, focused on outdoor skills, leadership, and rank advancement.
Venturing & Sea Scouts
Ages 13(or 14)–20. Co-ed crews and ships for older teens, built around high-adventure, service, and specialty interests.

Trees for Scouts only lists units that sell trees, recycle them, or make wreaths.
